I woke up this morning to an email of FAM treasuries. I clicked and saw Maddie's bracelet in one! Her views skyrocketed to 82! That's awesome!
A huge, huge thank you to Tiffany from BAMDesigns for including Madelyn's "Rainbow" bracelet in her colorful treasury!

Madelyn's Big Idea
.jpg)
A bag of colorful buttons sitting on our counter caught the attention and sparked the imagination of my 5 year old daughter a few days ago. She constantly had her hand in the bag fidgeting with each button and pulling them out one by one lining them up. I could see her wheels spinning so when she asked if she could make bracelets out of buttons the way she does with beads, it didn't surprise me one bit. We dug out some elastic cording and some more buttons and sat down. I got her started showing her how to go in and out of the button holes and before we knew it her first button bracelet was complete! And, very cute! She slapped it on her wrist and got started on the second one..jpg)
Here's where Madelyn's big idea comes in. "Mom," she says, "If this ones turns out pretty too, will you sell it for me on your website?" She asked so sweetly, how could I say no? So, I humored her by telling her I will defintley add it to my site. Once that bracelet was done, she brought it to me and told me to call it "Rainbow" and sell it for $2. Wow! This kid already had a business plan! I added a section to my site entitled "Fancy Shmancy by Maddie", totally her idea. Five minutes after it was online we sat down to see how many views it had and it was already up to 10. She thought that was great..."That means 10 people think my bracelet is cool!" Off she skipped to make another colorful little trinket.
I promoted her fabulous little creation with the WIST Team and the FAM Team--so thank you to those that clicked to make her views go up and to those who hearted her bracelet. And, thank you to her wonderful Auntie for putting in a custom order! She's been working on it on and off between Littlest Pets playtime and her favorite cartoons! She really is having a blast!

My Little FireCrackers

It was picture time in our household! I'm usually right on the ball when it comes to keeping everyone up-to-date with pictures of our girls, but this year I'm slacking just a little. I decided to wait until closer to Father's Day and then I could give my husband a fun photo of all his girls in their WI Badgers gear--his favorite team--AND do the normal shots of the girls. Sounds easy, right? Not so much--I think that was the worst photo shoot I have ever had with the girls!
I do have to say it was a piece of cake for Madelyn; she loves to be in front of the camera. It was hilarious watching this photo shoot as it was Madelyn picking her poses...the photographer got a such a kick out of her. I had a really hard time picking only one picture--every one of Madelyn's was a keeper!
This little one on the other hand...oh, boy! Makayla is a little more shy and really doesn't like to be in the spotlight. She pitched a fit and ran from the photographer as soon as we got into the studio! Madelyn couldn't even convince her otherwise. The photographer brought out some rose petals for the girls to throw around and that finally caught Makayla's attention. But, by then her eyes were red, her nose was a mess, and her hair was all over the place! This was the first time I literally looked at the proofs and had to decide which one "wasn't that bad". Makayla's un-cooperativeness showed in every picture.
I did leave with a few pictures and thankfully the one of all three us turned out so that we had a Father's Day gift. But unfortunaley for Makayla, I will be soon be choosing a re-take date.

Patriotic Pretties
.jpg)
I find it so much fun to dress my sweet little girls in cute holiday outfits and the 4th of July is no exception! To go along with those new outfits, I listed some new felt flowers and red, white, and blue headbands within the past few days. The Patriotic Posies come in a set of two--they work perfect for pigtails. The woven headbands are always a hit with the older girls and they even work great for adults!.jpg)
There's plenty of time to stop by my shop and "pick up" a few matching accessories for your little firecracker or even yourself! If you have something specific in mind that you don't see--please ask--I love to do custom orders!
